Mother Kills Her Five-Year-Old Son, Before Cooking and Eating Part of His Head
A bizarre incident occurred in Faqus, a city in Egypt’s Ash Sharqiyah governorate, on Friday, where a 29-year-old mother, simply identified as Hanaa, killed her five-year-old son, Youssef, then cooked his corpse and ate part of his head.
The 29-year-old mother, who had been separated from her husband for a few years, was arrested by Police after her son’s uncle found his body parts in buckets at the family home.
She confessed to Police that she had eaten part of her son’s head because she ‘wanted him to stay with her together’, local media reports.
According to Mail Online, she reportedly cooked his head and other parts of his flesh in boiling water on the stove before eating them.
Following her claim that she ‘suffers from a mental illness’ and had not intended to kill her son, local media reported that as part of the ongoing investigation, she is due to undergo a mental health evaluation.
