
Gunmen Behead Assistant Superintendent of Police In Abia
An Assistant Superintendent of Police serving in Abia State, simply identified as Agbalagba, has been beheaded by gunmen in Aba.
His killers also reportedly carted away with his riffle and uniform.
The slain Officer was said to have led a patrol team in the early hours of Tuesday for a stop-and-search routine at East Street in Ndiegoro area of the State when the gunmen attacked them.
Confirming the unfortunate incident, the State Public Relations Officer, CSP Geoffrey Ogbonna, described the killing as a dastardly act and highly condemnable.
The Police are appealing to the public to help with credible information on the perpetrators or anyone found with a firearm suspected to have been unlawfully obtained.
It was gathered that the perpetrators are members of a notorious gang whose kingpin was killed by the Police on Sunday, April 23, 2023, and have declared war on the Police and residents of the State.
