Police Arrest Four Suspected Robbers In Ogun

Ogun State Police Command has arrested four suspected members of a robbery syndicate terrorizing Sango Ota and its environs.

 The suspects are 28-year-old Sherrif Kamoru, 37-year-old Rabiu Seyidu,  26-year-old Opeyemi Adebayo and 21-year-old  Ajibola Fakolade.

The Police began a manhunt for the suspects after one Adeleye Sunday reported at Sango Divisional Headquarters that he was attacked by some armed hoodlums at Joju area of Sango Ota on March 20, 2023. 

The complaint further stated that the suspects inflicted a machete cut on his neck, stole his two phones and used them to transfer Six Hundred Thousand naira (N600,000) from his account through the bank’s app.

Acting on credible intelligence, the hideout of the suspects was located and four of them were apprehended, the State Police Spokesperson, SP Abimbola Oyeyemi, said.

One cutlass, one techno POP 2f belonging to the victim and a nose mask used by one of them during the operation were recovered.

Meanwhile, the State Commissioner of Police, CP Olanrewaju Oladimeji, has directed that the suspects be transferred to State Criminal Investigation Department for discreet investigation and diligent prosecution.
