Gunmen Kidnap NPC Federal Commissioner for Bayelsa State, Demand N500m

A Federal Commissioner with the National Population Commission, NPC, in Bayelsa State, Mrs. Gloria Izonfuo, has been abducted by gunmen.

She was abducted at Ogbakiri junction along the East-West Road in Emohua Local Government Area of Rivers State on Sunday evening alongside her maid and driver. 

The abductors are demanding N500 million in ransom for their release.

Confirming the incident, the State Police Spokesperson, SP Grace Iringe-Koko, said the State Commissioner of Police had ordered the Command’s tactical teams to ensure the victims were rescued unhurt.
