Tricyclist Stoned To Death For Allegedly Killing Passenger Over N50

A tricyclist was stoned to death after he allegedly stabbed his passenger to death following a disagreement over N50 change

It was gathered that the incident occurred in Kpansia area of Yenagoa, Bayelsa State, on Wednesday.

Residents of the community who witnessed the killing of the unidentified youth took laws into their own hands, killed the Keke rider and set about 10 tricycles ablaze.

The State Police Command , in a statement issued by its Spokesperson, SP Asinim Butswat, condemned that act and appealed for calm. 

“The youth was allegedly stabbed to death by the tricycle rider over a minor disagreement.

“The Command condemns the action of the tricycle rider, who was also lynched to death by irate youths and appeal to members of the community to be calm.”

Meanwhile, the Command has deployed an anti-riot squad to restore normalcy to the area.
