Teenager Shot In the Head By Homeowner After Ringing The Wrong Door Bell

16-year-old Ralph Paul Yarl is in critical condition after he was shot twice in the head by a homeowner when he mistakenly went to the wrong home to pick up his siblings on Thursday in Kansas City, Missouri, United States.

The homeowner shot Yarl through a glass door and while he was on the ground, the man shot him again. The boy got up and had to run to three different homes before someone finally agreed to help him, according to a note from his aunt, Faith Spoonmoore, on a GoFundMe campaign for his medical expenses.

According to the Police, the teenager’s parents had asked him to pick up his siblings at an address on 115th Terrace, but he accidentally went to a home on 115th Street.

In a press conference on Sunday, the Chief of Kansas City Police Department, Stacey Graves, stated that the homeowner — who has not been identified — was taken into custody and placed on a 24-hour investigation hold and then released pending further investigation to get a formal statement from the victim, gather additional forensic evidence

and additional information needed for a case file to be presented.

Although the Police have assured that they are committed to justice in this case, hundreds of protesters gathered to demonstrate outside of the white homeowner ‘s house on Sunday afternoon.
