Operatives of Zamfara State Police Command rescued nine kidnapped victims-including seven females and two males, on Thursday. 

The victims were abducted on Tuesday, April 11, 2023, at Kucheri village in Tsafe Local Government Area of the State.

According to the State Police Public Relations Officer, CSP Mohammed Shehu, the rescue operation was sequel to credible information obtained from a good Samaritan. 

The victims were debriefed by the Police detectives and have been reunited with their families.

Meanwhile, the State Commissioner of Police, CP Kolo Yusuf, has congratulated the victims for regaining their freedom and reassured the public of sustained onslaught against the activities of bandits and other criminal elements.

He further appealed to the public to always avail the Police and other security agencies with vital and timely information to deal ruthlessly with the unrepentant bandits ravaging the entire State.
