
IGP, Retired IGPs Meet To Strategize On Better Policing
The Inspector-General of Police, IGP Usman Alkali Baba, CFR, on Wednesday, met with the Chairman of the Police Service Commission (PSC), Dr. Solomon Arase (IGP RTD) and other retired Inspectors-General of Police at the Police Service Commission Corporate Headquarters, Jabi, Abuja.
The meeting, which was based on the request of the PSC Chairman, had the Inspectors-General of Police who have served in previous administrations- including IGP Sunday Ehindero (Rtd.) CFR, NPM, fwc; IGP Mike Mbama Okiro (Rtd.) NPM, mni; IGP Ogbonna O. Onovo (Rtd.) CFR, NPM, mni; and IGP Suleiman Abba (Rtd.) CFR, NPM, NPoM, mni, present.
At the meeting, issues affecting the Nigeria Police Force and strategies on how the Force can be repositioned for better service delivery were addressed,
Dr Arase appreciated the IGP and retired IGPs for honouring his invitation, assuring that the Commission under his leadership will not relent in making sure that the welfare of Officers and men of the Force are top priorities.
Meanwhile, the IGP reteriated the commitment of the Force to collaborate with the Commission for effective implementation of the Police Reform agenda.
