Popular Ibadan-based Vendor Found Dead In Hotel

A popular business vendor, identified as Adeshina Olayinka, popularly known as Khadi, has been found dead at Wetland Hotel in the Akobo area of Ibadan, Oyo State.

According to Oyo Affairs, she informed her friend of a meeting with a man at the hotel on Wednesday. However, the man she was with checked out alone on Thursday morning, but before he left a call was placed to Khadi’s room and she confirmed her safety to the receptionist.

A few hours later when the receptionist went to inform her that it was time to check out, her lifeless body was found.

Confirming the incident, the hotel management noted that they are fully cooperating with the Police in their investigation to determine the cause of death.

“We extend our deepest sympathies to the family and friends of the deceased, and we offer our support to all those affected by this tragic event.”

When contacted the State Police Public Relations Officer, SP Adewale Osifeso, told Crime Fighters that the case is undergoing investigation and updates would be provided accordingly.
