Many Feared Killed As Suspected Herdsmen Attack Benue IDPs Camp

Scores of locals are feared killed following an attack on an Internally displaced people (IDPs) camp at Ngban primary school Nyiev Council Ward in Guma Local Government Area of Benue State on Friday night.

Although the number of casualties are yet to be ascertained, no less than 33 persons were killed and 40 others injured.

The State Commissioner of Police, CP Wale Abasse, is expected to conduct an on-the-spot assessment to ascertain the magnitude of the attack.

Barely three days ago, suspected herdsmen also unleashed terror in Umuogidi community, Otukpo Local Government Area of the State, killing no less than 46 persons- including a Policeman.
