Gunmen have killed three Police Officers in Oshimili North Local Government Area of Delta State.

The Policemen attached to Okpanam Division were ambushed in the early hours of Monday while responding to a distress call from members of the local vigilante.

The State Police Spokesperson, DSP Bright Edafe, who confirmed the incident to Crime Fighters, said one of the attackers had been arrested.

“At about 4:40 am, Policemen from Okpanam Division, who were responding to a distress call, were ambushed by armed men, killing three of our personnel. The Command has arrested one suspect, who is helping with useful information,” he stated.

While assuring that the fleeing suspects would be arrested and brought to justice, he appealed to members of the public to avail the Police with information that could aid the investigation.
