The Commissioner of Police of FCT Police Command, CP Babaji Sunday, on Thursday, under the Inspector General of Police Family Welfare Insurance Scheme, distributed insurance cheques worth 15 million, nine hundred thousand naira (N15,900,000) to the next of kin of deceased Police Officers.

While extending his condolence to the beneficiaries, CP Babaji noted that the money presented was in no way a payment for the lives and services of their loved ones but a way to show them that the Force remembers the labor of their loved ones in life and death, urging them to make meaningful use of the benefits to make life better.
Meanwhile, a representative of the beneficiaries expressed his appreciation to the Nigeria Police Force and promised to make judicious use of the benefits.
