The Nigerian Army has confirmed the rescue of one of the girls abducted in 2014 by Boko Haram terrorists from Government Girls Secondary School in Chibok, Borno State.
According to the Army on its official Facebook page, Troops of the 26 Task Force Brigade were on patrol around Ngoshe on Tuesday when they intercepted the victim, identified as Mrs. Mary Ngoshe, and her son.
“She is believed to be one of the abducted girls from GGSS Chibok in 2014. Further exploitation is ongoing.”
Similarly, troops of Operation Desert Sanity, in conjunction with Civilian JTF, neutralized several ISWAP terrorists around Gurzum in Borno State on Tuesday.
The terrorist’s market and camps were destroyed, while weapons and ammunition were recovered.
