Police Officers attached to a music artiste, Damilola Ogulu, popularly known as Burna Boy, have been arrested and are being interrogated over an alleged shooting incident at Club Cubana in Victoria Island, Lagos, on Wednesday.
The Officers allegedly shot two fun-seekers who had an altercation with Burna Boy because he reportedly made passes at one of the fun seeker’s wife.
In a statement issued on Sunday by the Force Spokesperson, CSP Olumuyiwa Adejobi, the Inspector-General of Police, IGP Usman Alkali Baba NPM, psc(+), fdc, described the circumstances surrounding the incident as unbelievable and condemned it in the strongest terms.
Meanwhile, the IGP has directed the State Commissioner of Police, CP Abiodun Alabi, to conduct a thorough investigation into the matter and forward his report as urgently as possible for further action.
