The National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) has marked six residential buildings and a shopping plaza belonging to the embattled Deputy Commissioner of Police, Abba Kyari, for investigation.
The six houses are located in New Government Residential Area (GRA), Maiduguri, and the shopping plaza named Assurance Plaza is a two-storey shopping complex with about 100 stores located along Giwa Barracks Road, Maiduguri.
The Suspended Deputy Commissioner of Police, who was arrested by NDLEA in February, is currently remanded at Kuje Prison in the Federal Capital Territory as he awaits judgment on drug trafficking-related charges.
The move by NDLEA comes barely two days after the Agency identified and arrested the Chairman of Mallinson Group of Companies, Chief Afam Mallinson Emmanuel Ukatu, as the drug baron behind the N3billion Tramadol deal involving Abba Kyari-led Intelligence Response Team (IRT).
