FCT Police Command has transferred the case of the late gospel Singar Osinachi Nwachukwu to the Department of Public Prosecutions for legal advice, following the autopsy report.
Osinachi Nwachukwu, who was allegedly a victim of domestic violence, died on the 8th of April, 2022, while on admission at National Hospital, Abuja.
Her husband, Peter Nwachukwu, was arrested after the younger brother of the late singer reported the case at Lugbe Divisional Headquarters on the 10th of April, 2022.
The Police is investigating a case of culpable Homicide and an autopsy was carried out to determine the cause of her death.
It would be recall that about a week ago, the Inspector-General of Police, IGP Usman Alkali Baba psc (+), NPM, fdc, asserted that her husband would be charged to court as soon as it was established that he was responsible for her death.
Hence, the FCT Command Spokesperson, DSP Josephine Adeh, has confirmed the case is no longer with the Command but with the DPP in the office of the Attorney-
General.
