The Police in Kwara State have arrested two suspected ritualists while on stop and search duty at Oke Oyi/Jebba road on Sunday.
The suspects, identified as 35-year-old Wasiu Omonose and 32-year-old Akanbi Ibrahim, attempted to evade the Officers, but the Officers chased them and forced them to a stop. In the process of searching them, a bag containing a fresh human head and hands were found with them.
The suspects told the Police that they were taking the fresh human head and hands to an Alfa in Ilorin for ritual purposes, the Police said.
In a statement issued by the State Police Spokesperson, SP Okasanmi Ajayi, the State Commissioner of Police, CP Tuesday Assayomo, has warned criminal elements to relocate from Kwara State, as the Command would not fold its arms and allow criminals to truncate the existing peace and harmony.
“Any person or group of persons found in any manner attempting to initiate the breakdown of law and order in the State would be arrested and made to bear the full wrath of the law,” the CP intoned.
