No less than 39 kidnapped victims have been rescued following the ongoing clearance operations at Dabar Magaji camp located at Kadanya forest, Zamfara State.
The victims consisted of eight males, 15 females, 16 children, and nursing mothers.
The Zamfara State Commissioner of Police, CP Ayuba Elkanah, who made this known on Monday, said ten suspects were also arrested for abduction, theft, and being members of the outlawed local vigilante group known as Yan Sakai.
Locally made guns, a vehicle, operational motorcycles, knives, and other items were also recovered.
