Two suspects have been arrested as operatives of the Lagos State Police Command continue investigation on the whereabouts of a 22-year-old lady, Ms. Ayanwole Oluwabamise, who boarded a BRT bus from Chevron bus stop, Lekki, heading to Oshodi on February 26th, 2022, at about 7:30 pm.
According to the State Police Spokesperson, CSP Adekunle Ajisebutu, in a statement, the Police began an investigation as soon as they received the report, and the suspects in custody are aiding the investigation process.
“To ensure a speedy and diligent investigation, the Commissioner of Police, CP Abiodun Alabi, immediately directed the State Criminal Investigation Department, Panti, to take over the case.
“In the course of the ongoing investigation, two suspects have been arrested and are currently helping in our investigation.
“While assuring that Police detectives will continue to work assiduously to find the missing lady and bring her abductors to justice, the Command is appealing to anyone with useful information to come forward for further necessary actions.
“This isolated incident, notwithstanding, the Police Command is committed to protecting lives and properties of all residents of the State at all times,” he said.
The missing lady hails from Moba L.G.A. in Ekiti State. She is about 5 feet tall, dark in complexion, and speaks Yoruba and English languages well.
