Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Police Command, on Saturday, rescued 11 victims abducted in Gwargwada community, Kuje, on February 17, 2022.

In a statement issued on Saturday, the Command Spokesperson, DSP Adeh, said the rescue operation followed a massive manhunt for the perpetrators after the Police received information on the abduction.

According to her, the Commissioner of Police, CP Sunday Babaji, notes that intelligence at the disposal of the Command uncovered the criminal dens in Forest within Kuje, and operatives are already combing the forests to arrest the criminal elements and rescue other victims (if any).

The rescued victims would be reunited with their families as soon as they are confirmed medically stable, she added.

Meanwhile, the CP calls on residents to remain vigilant and cooperate with the Police, especially on the rendition of prompt information on any suspicious occurrence through the following emergency lines: 08032003913, 08061581938, 07057337653, and 08028940883.
