A traditional ruler, Oba Ayinde Odetola, the Alagodo of Agodo in Ewekoro Local Government Area of Ogun State, has been allegedly killed by hoodlums.

The Traditional Ruler and three others were returning from an outing on Sunday when they were attacked by the hoodlums and set ablaze.

The State Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Abimbola Oyeyemi, who confirmed the incident, said that the Commissioner of Police, CP Lanre Bankole, and the Special Security Adviser to Governor Dapo Abiodun, Mr. Olusola Subair, had visited the town for an on-the-spot assessment of the situation. However, the town had beendeserted.

An investigation is ongoing.
