Kester Edun, the commercial bus driver who was allegedly handcuffed by some policemen [Read More] to a patrol van in Oredo Local Government Area of Edo State has recounted his ordeal, insisting that he did not commit any offense.

He said the Policemen hand cuffed his hand to their van and dragged him on the road to compel him to admit of being an accomplice to the fleeing passenger. Edun said he lost some money and his phone in the process.

Meanwhile, the Assistant Inspector-General of Police in charge of Zone 5, Abubakar Mohammed has ordered the arrest and detention of the erring officers, adding that their action was unprofessional and a violation of the principle of democratic policing.

The AIG said the Zonal Command had commenced investigation into the matter, adding that the policemen would face an orderly room trail, but refused to disclose the identities of the policemen.
