The Deputy Inspector General of Police in charge of Research and Planning, DIG [Read More] Valentine Ntomchukwu on Tuesday 16thMay 2017 paid a working visit to the Abia State Police Command.

During the visit the DIG, who oversees the South- East Geo-Political Zone assessed the security situation in the State and also commend the effort of the State Government for the support of the Abia Police Command.

The DIG used the occasion of his visit toadmonished Officers and Men of Abia State Command to continue the good work, whilst counseling them to be more diligent and firm in the discharge of their duty.

DIG Ntomchukwu whoreceived five Nissan Pickup Vehicles and five Motorcycles donated to the State Police Command by the State Government thanked State Governor. Dr. Okezie Ikpeazu on behalf of the Inspector General of Police and the Abia Command.

In order to foster good working relation between the Police and the people of the State, the DIG also held meetings with members of the Abia State Eminent People's Forum (EPF) and the Police Community Relations Committee (PCRC) at the Michael Okpara Auditorium, Umuahia.
